Beautiful day today and I’m off to deliver Reiki healing to some family members. One thing I love about it is that the ego has no place in it for the healer is a vessel, someone who acts in service. Reiki is universal life energy; it promotes physical emotional and spiritual healing and wellbeing by releasing pent up or blocked energy and restoring healthy energy circulation through the body and mind. They say happiness is an inside job. What if I told you half the job is not hard work at all? And you could find a boost of happiness anywhere, anytime, right about now? Sounds tempting? All you need to do is stop and notice. Gratitude is one of our most important sources of happiness, and you can have that right away! Pause whatever you are doing for a second and ask yourself “What am I thankful for right now?”. Give it a go. Think of at least 3 answers, they can be absolute
It’s Wednesday the third of Jan and I haven’t published a post reviewing the year that’s been. I am yet to formally set down my resolutions and intentions for the year. I am still quietly mulling over my reflections from 2017. Monday I had a lie in. And all this is ok. I’ve been learning to accept this more and more in recovery (which may I remind isn’t linear). Day by day, this magic thing called life happens and with it we flow, on adventures and experiences, collecting

Contrary to what one might think, being extra hard on ourselves doesn’t help anyone, not us, not others, not the world. Push yourself to grow, challenge yourself by all means - but do it with kindness always. No one gets motivated to achieve something by being put down or told they are flops. Acknowledging success
2017 is almost over and I imagine a lot of us might be thinking about setting new goals and targets for 2018 so here’s a small tip. Before doing that, Take a moment to review the year that’s been and all you have done and accomplished so far, no matter how big or small or in what area of your life.
• It’s super important and helpful to acknowledge and remember our accomplishments.
• Why? Two main reasons:
